Feature race options are on the table for Reflectance after he justified his odds-on quote with a dominant Eagle Farm win on Saturday.
After shouldering his way clear at the 250m, Reflectance ($1.55) was eased down by jockey Michael Cahill to win by 2-1/4 lengths from Caballo Rapido ($31) with Joint Initiative ($6.50) three-quarters-of-a-length away third.
"The Sandown Guineas is a race we've had in the back of our minds for him or there's the option of giving him a freshen-up and aiming him at the Magic Millions Guineas in January," Brett Killion, Queensland manager for Patinack Farm said.
"Things went a bit pear-shaped with him last time but we put a lugging bit on him today and he sprinted like we know he can."
Cahill was impressed with the acceleration Reflectance displayed once he was able to emerge from an awkward position in the straight.
"He's still a bit immature at the moment but he's got all the ability in the world," Cahill said.
"Ability-wise he's there but mentally he's not. Potentially I feel he's up with the Group class three-year-olds without a doubt."
Reflectance was the second leg of a winning double for the Patinack team after the much-maligned Saint Encosta was successful 40 minutes earlier.
"The lack of pace in the race was a bit of a concern but he showed today what's he's always been capable of," Killion said.
"Usually he gets to them and has a bit of think about it, but today he went right on with the job."
Saint Encosta started a firm $2.40 favourite on the strength of his lead-up form which included a creditable fourth, beaten only two lengths, to Glencadam Gold in the Newcastle Cup (2300m) at his previous start.
Earlier, leading trainer Tony Gollan confirmed Whiskey Allround will be spelled after keeping his unbeaten record intact by winning the River Junction Drought Masters Handicap (1000m).
"He had to carry 59 kilograms but I wasn't too worried about that because two-year-olds historically carry big weights and win before Christmas," Gollan said.
