Sydney jockeys' premiership punters have all but given up on Hugh Bowman's chances of defending his title.
Bowman holds a half-win win lead over Nash Rawiller going into Saturday's Randwick meeting but he is almost friendless in TAB betting on the showdown.
The lack of support for Bowman co-incides with Rawiller's whirlwind finish and Tulloch Lodge's No.1 rider is expected to be in front after the penultimate fixture of the season.
Rawiller rode four winners at Rosehill last Saturday to take over favouritism with the TAB, a position he consolidated with a midweek winner.
With his booking for three pre-post Randwick favourites, Rawiller is a $1.75 chance to win the premiership with Bowman at $2.05.
"It's obvious Nash has got all the momentum and that's where punters see it," TAB media manager Matthew Jenkins said.
"His book of rides on Saturday is clearly superior but even if he comes out of the meeting in front it's still all going to come down to Wednesday's meeting."
Rawiller will ride the shortest-priced favourite on Saturday when he links for the second time with the Allan Denham-trained Watabout in the Win A Racehorse with YPR Today Handicap (1300m).
Watabout is chasing a hat-trick of wins after scoring with authority in two Canterbury midweek victories.
The filly, owned in the same interests as Golden Slipper winner Overreach as part of George Altomonte's Corumbene Stud racing team, has been backed from $2.40 to $2.20 in early markets.
Rawiller will carry the weight of punters' money in the last two Randwick races when he rides Madam Nash ($3.70) and Eiglestein ($3.60).
Bowman has one less Randwick ride than Bowman with the consistent Chris Waller-trained Gullible ($4.80) rated his best chance of winning a race when she contests the Trainer Connections Handicap (1400m).
