An end-of-season win at Randwick may have been the last hurrah for Follonica who is bound for the broodmare barn in the spring.
Her victory in Saturday's JMR Creative Design (1200m) was also a boost for Hugh Bowman in his battle with Nash Rawiller for the Sydney jockeys' premiership.
Two early wins to Rawiller gave him a 1-1/2 advantage over Bowman who used all his strength to get Follonica ($12) over the line a short neck in front of Hidden Kisses ($11).
"It's stopped the bleeding," Bowman said.
"She settled beautifully and was in the right spot."
Trained early in her career by Lee Freedman and then by his brother Anthony, Follonica's past three starts have been for Bjorn Baker.
"It might be her last run," Baker said.
"I'm hoping to convince her owners to give her one more start before she goes to stud."
