Trainer Bryan Guy is looking a year ahead after promising filly Sizzlepel claimed her second win in less than a weel.
Sizzlepel ($4.80) made it two wins in five days when she led all the way in Friday's 2YO Handicap (1400m) at the Gold Coast metropolitan standard meeting.
Guy, who trains in partnership with his son Daniel, had planned to spell Sizzlepel after she won at Ipswich on Sunday.
"But she did so well we decided to give her a chance to win a metropolitan standard race today," Guy said.
"She can go for a spell now and I think you will see a very nice three-year-old. She has done all of this after coming straight from the breakers.
"I know it is a long way off but I think she might even make a Queensland Oaks filly next year.
"Sizzlepel settles so well. Glen Colless said she jumped brilliantly but nearly caught him unaware because she switched off so quickly.
"She has future stayer written all over her."
The filly's task was made easier when the odds-on favourite Loving Miss was scratched at the barriers but Guy believed Sizzlepel would have won anyway.
