A police operation has delayed the Eagle Farm race meeting in Brisbane.
Police were called to the racetrack after the second race while horses were parading for the third event.
After inspecting the track and racecourse proper, police gave the all-clear to continue racing.
Chief steward Peter Chadwick said safety had been a priority for all on-course.
"We can confirm police were called to the track and undertook an operation," he said.
"We can't make any further comment on the details of the incident as police were in charge."
Chadwick said race three was put back an hour and it was hoped to pick up time during the day.
