The Brisbane Racing Club will be allowed to have a select number of patrons on-course under strict biosecurity conditions for its Stradbroke Handicap meeting.
Queensland race clubs can now have up to 20 patrons on-course but they must comply government COVID-19 checklists.
"Further patrons may be able to return upon the adoption of an industry COVID safe plan for RQ licensed race clubs, which will be submitted to Queensland Health next week," an RQ statement said.
It is understood the BRC will invite 20 sponsors for the Group One Stradbroke meeting on Saturday.
Racing Queensland announced it would also scrap the regional racing system which was introduced during COVID-19 pandemic.
It means trainers and jockeys can compete across all areas of the state.
