Kerrin McEvoy has nominated star filly Guelph as the horse most likely to carry the flag for Darley this spring.
McEvoy will return from a two-week break for four rides at Rosehill on Saturday.
It is the first metropolitan meeting of the new racing season, one McEvoy hopes will be as fruitful as the last.
As No.1 stable rider for Darley, McEvoy was rapt to share honours with Hugh Bowman as the leading Group One jockey for season 2012-13 with seven majors.
He has set himself a target of five Group One wins this term.
"Group One wins are what the Darley team look for and it would be nice to feature in those races again," McEvoy said.
Darley will look to its latest crop of three-year-olds to lead its carnival assault.
McEvoy is excited by the depth in their ranks and says Guelph, who won the final two legs of the juvenile triple crown, along with Golden Slipper runner-up Sidestep, remain the stable benchmarks.
"I'd put Guelph on top. She won those Group Ones in really good style," he said.
"She looks a more developed horse, she is bigger and stronger. I think she's going to be figuring in the spring races so I'm looking forward to her."
Respected also turned three this week and while she isn't in the same class as her barn mates she did show ability when she won her only start at Canterbury in March.
She resumes in the National Jockeys Trust Handicap (1100m) on Saturday against a handy field headed by Champagne Cath, Windjammer and the in-form Snitzel's Jewel.
"It's a nice little prelude to spring this race," McEvoy said.
"She impressed us winning a maiden and I think she's come in a bit better this time.
"She's drawn a nice barrier, it wouldn't surprise me if she could show a bit of her class on Saturday."
McEvoy's remaining mounts are all for Darley with Omniscient in the Become An ATC Sponsor Handicap (1100m) the most favoured.
