Purton extends HK premiership lead to four

Australian jockey Zac Purton has extended his lead in the Hong Kong premiership with a winning double a Sha Tin.

Purton started Sunday's meeting with a three-win lead over premiership rival Joao Moreira and notched victories aboard Winning Brew and Regency Master to take his season tally to 132.

Moreira hit back with a winner aboard Good Luck Friend in the final event on the 11-race card, leaving Purton with a four-win advantage as he strives for his fourth Hong Kong Jockeys' premiership and third in succession.

There are seven meetings remaining in the Hong Kong season with the next meeting to he held at Happy Valley on Wednesday night.
