Joe Pride is one trainer unfazed by the news the Randwick track won't dry out by Saturday and will be rated dead at best.
Pride will send out superior wet-tracker Rain Affair and his stablemate Title in the Group Three Missile Stakes (1200m) which has attracted nine entries headed by multiple Group One winner Hay List.
A four-time runner-up in Group One races, Rain Affair showed his readiness for the Missile when he won a barrier trial on a slow track at Randwick by more than nine lengths last Friday while Title ran a close second to Rebel Dane in a trial a week earlier.
"I thought Rain Affair trialled super and he has continued to do well," Pride said.
"As he gets older I don't think he really needs a wet track. He has run some great races on good tracks but I'm happy to have the sting out of it."
While Title isn't as well-performed as his stablemate, Pride's hands are tied in mapping out his program.
"Ideally they wouldn't run against each other," he said.
"But Title's owner is very understanding.
"He is ready to race and there is a lack of options.
"The only other suitable race is the Show County at Warwick Farm two weeks later.
"But he doesn't like Warwick Farm and loves Randwick. Besides if anything happens to Rain Affair or for some reason he isn't on his game, then Title would be right in it.
"But so far so good with Rain Affair."
Nash Rawiller will ride Rain Affair while Jay Ford will be reunited with Title.
If trainer John McNair decides Hay List will run, he will be looking for a new jockey with regular partner Glyn Schofield out serving a careless riding suspension.
Hay List (117) is the highest rated nominated horse ahead of Rain Affair (111). Mic Mac (106) and Oakleigh Plate winner Mrs Onassis (104).
