Part-owner selling share in Buffering

Friday 9 August 2013, 1:54pm

Former Socceroo Scott Chipperfield is selling his share in multiple Group One placegetter Buffering.

Chipperfield took to Twitter on Friday to announce he is selling his 12.5 per cent stake in the top sprinter due to a "fallout" with trainer Robert Heathcote.

Confirming the split, Heathcote said he expects the share in Buffering to be bought by one of the other members of the syndicate which races the six-year-old.

"The horse has been very good for the connections, including Scott Chipperfield, returning him over $300,000 in percentages," Heathcote said.

"There are always ups and downs in racing but Buffering has delivered his connections more highs than lows."

Buffering will resume in the Group One Moir Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley in September.
