Rough Habit Plate winner Ballistic Boy will continue his march towards the Magic Millions Subzero when he heads to the Sunshine Coast.
The four-year-old exceeded trainer Chris Anderson's expectations when he produced a barnstorming finish from last to run second to Red Chase at Doomben on November 7.
Anderson will step Ballistic Boy up to the mile in Saturday's Mooloolaba Cup at the Sunshine Coast.
He was successful at that track and distance on Anzac Day.
Ballistic Boy's ultimate goal is the Magic Millions Subzero (2400m) at the Gold Coast on January 16, named after the popular Melbourne Cup winner who died in August at the ripe age of 31.
His final lead-up to the Subzero will be in the Shoot Out (2200m) at Eagle Farm on January 2.
A start in the Subzero is still an option for The Candy Man who has returned to Barry Baldwin's Eagle Farm stables.
The Candy Man was sent home after finishing a dismal 12th of 13 runners, beaten 17 lengths, behind Costello in the Rosehill Gold Cup (2400m) on October 31.
The grey has started eight times in NSW finishing unplaced on each occasion but from 19 starts in Queensland has won 11 races with a further four placings.
