Clarry Conners was initially mesmerised by Stolen Jade's beauty but he is quickly being won over by her talent.
The mare remains undefeated this preparation after taking out Saturday's Traffic Logistics Handicap (1200m) at Kembla Grange to earn herself a trip to the Gold Coast for the Magic Millions carnival in January.
The four-time Golden Slipper-winning trainer says the daughter of So You Think is an especially attractive horse, so much so that she has won over a float driver and prompted Conners to nickname her after an actress famed for her good looks..
"I have nicknamed her 'Bo' for Bo Derek. She is a perfect, lovely horse," Conners said.
"I got some terrific owners in her when I bought her. Even the float driver that brought her down from Brisbane, he said, 'can I buy a share in this horse?'."
Stolen Jade took seven starts to break her maiden but she has won three of her four subsequent runs, all of them this campaign.
Her victory continued a great season for the stable, which has produced 10 winners from its past 36 runners.
Jay Ford has ridden Stolen Jade in all of her wins and says she has turned the corner.
"She's come back really switched on and sharp this time around and obviously just keeping her to the 11 and 1200 (metre races), Clarry has got her flying," Ford said.
"She's in a really good groove at the moment so hopefully it can continue."
Stolen Jade ($4.80) held off the fast-finishing Turnstyle ($10) by a half-neck with Macroura ($3.90 fav) another length away.
