Bjorn Baker has brushed off the defection of top jockey Hugh Bowman and is focused on the positives ahead of Windjammer's tilt at Saturday's San Domenico Stakes.
Bowman was aboard the three-year-old when he outclassed his rivals to post a first-up win at Rosehill but he has opted to ride the Anthony Cummings-trained Cluster in Saturday's race.
Nathan Berry takes over on Windjammer and Baker is more than happy to have him on board.
"Hugh's off it but I wouldn't look too much into that," Baker said.
"Nathan has ridden him in his trial and trackwork so he knows the horse.
"I'm really happy with him. His work has been good and he came through his last race really well.
"It's good to be in one of the early spring three-year-old races with a live chance."
The San Domenico (1100m) at Rosehill is an open betting race with six of the nine runners at single figure odds.
Windjammer, a $7 chance, is the only horse to have raced this season with the remainder resuming from juvenile campaigns.
Baker says that is in his colt's favour.
"The others are the Australian cricket team of the spring. They still need to score and he's got the runs on the board," he said.
Golden Slipper runner-up Sidestep heads betting at $3.10 and has a gear change for the San Domenico in which he will run without blinkers for the first time.
He is one of two entries for Peter Snowden along with the speedy Kuroshio.
The colt won a Listed race at his debut and was beaten a neck by last Saturday's The Rosebud placegetter Dissident at his only other first-up run.
Kuroshio is proven at the 1100 metre journey and Snowden can see him giving his rivals something to chase from his rails draw.
"He's very quick out of the gates. He showed that in the Slipper, he drew 14 and he was two (lengths) in front when they went 50 metres," Snowden said.
"If things work out right he might get an easy lead. He'll be competitive on Saturday."
Queenslander Whiskey Allround and New Zealand raider Fast Dragon add interest to the race.
Whiskey Allround finished second to Sweet Idea in the Silver Slipper in March with that filly going on to place in the Golden Slipper.
He has had two recent trials and Michael Cahill is making a rare trip to Sydney to ride him.
Fast Dragon was a Listed winner over 1600m in New Zealand as a juvenile and is making his Australian debut.
