Shoot Out will be among nine likely nominations from the Chris Waller stable for the Warwick Stakes despite his absence from a barrier trial session on Friday.
The multiple Group One winner was withdrawn from an 800m Group and Listed heat but Waller's stable foreman Liam Prior confirmed nothing was amiss with the horse.
"The trial was just an option and he will resume in the Warwick Stakes," Prior said.
Shoot Out's regular rider Hugh Bowman has been booked for the Warwick Stakes mount.
Prior confirmed the stable would be nominating up to nine horses for the Group Two race including comeback galloper Metal Bender and Doncaster Mile winner Sacred Falls.
Melbourne Cup fourth placegetter Kelinni is also due to resume in the Warwick Stakes (1400m) after finishing an excellent second to Tagus in a 1200m heat at Warwick Farm on Friday.
"It was a good trial. He's only eight days out from his first-up run so Chris was really happy with him," Prior said.
There were four Group and Listed trials on Friday, each with a host of carnival aspirants including VRC Oaks winner Dear Demi who was third in an 800m heat which also boasted Group One winners Beaten Up (fourth), Appearance (sixth) and Hawkspur (ninth).
