Premier Sydney trainer Chris Waller dominates entries for the Epsom Handicap as he attempts to win the Group One mile at Randwick for the first time.
Waller has 16 of the 105 nominations taken on Monday including Metal Bender, Sacred Falls and Shoot Out who are all Group One winners over the tough 1600 metres at Randwick.
Gai Waterhouse has entered 11 for the Epsom on October 5 including Our Desert Warrior, a full brother to dual winner Desert War (2004, 2005).
Waller's 11 nominations for the Metropolitan (2400m) include last year's runner-up Kelinni who went on to run fourth in the Melbourne Cup while Waterhouse will defend the race with Glencadam Gold among her 13 entries.
Robert Hickmott, private trainer for Lloyd Williams, has entered a team of 12 stayers for the Metropolitan headed by Melbourne Cup winner Green Moon.
The Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) for three-year-olds on October 12 attracted 104 entries.
