Race callers to come under RV banner

Monday 2 September 2013, 6:13pm

Leading Victorian race callers will now be employed by Racing Victoria, the state's industry body has announced.

Greg Miles, Terry Bailey, Rick McIntosh, Adam Olszanski and Adam Crettenden were previously employed by TVN and Radio Sport National (RSN) but have had their employment transferred.

Racing Victoria's chief executive Bernard Saundry said the move was part of RV's stategy to consolidate the industry's media assets and maximise the racing talent of the race callers.

"We have a tremendously talented group of race callers in Victoria and we see this as both a positive move for them and the industry to ensure we can best showcase their talents," Saundry said.

"We're keen to promote the racecallers and their immense knowledge of Victorian racing across all of the industry's media platforms including TV, radio and digital, for the benefit of racing's fans."
