There's no such thing as the nervous nineties for champion jockey Jim Cassidy but he is hoping he can edge closer to a century of Group One wins aboard Zoustar in the Golden Rose.
Cassidy has ridden the winners of 98 Group One races and doesn't expect it will take too long to reach the magic number.
"I don't know when it will happen, but it will," Cassidy said.
"I just concentrate on riding winners.
"I'm on Zoustar in the Golden Rose and hopefully he can get the job done this week."
Zoustar will be Chris Waller's sole runner in Sydney's first Group One race of the season at Rosehill on Saturday with Gai Waterhouse looking to field a team of four or more.
The Golden Rose is the only million dollar race of the Sydney spring with the jostling for positions in the 18-horse field in full swing.
Late entry fees are due by Monday with the field and barrier draw declared a day later.
The Tony Vasil-trained Prince Harada is the $3.60 favourite ahead of the colt which beat him last start, Fast `N' Rocking from the David Hayes stable at $4.60.
Zoustar is third elect at $7.
Prince Harada was an unlucky second in a rough-house McNeil Stakes at Moonee Valley on August 31 with the winner's jockey Brett Prebble returning from a suspension in time to ride him on Saturday.
Hugh Bowman will ride Prince Harada in his attempt to win the race for the fourth time since its inception in 2003.
Bowman's previous winners - In Top Swing (2003), Doonan (2004) and Duporth (2008) - claimed the race before it was elevated to Group One level.
Zoustar, who had to overcome an early check when fourth in the Run To The Rose, will be having his second start since he finished runner-up to Romantic Touch in the Group One J J Atkins at the Brisbane winter carnival.
The son of Northern Meteor, who died prematurely just weeks ago, has won three of his five starts and Waller is looking to enhance his value as a future stallion.
