Buffering pleases, Teronado out for spell

Tuesday 10 September 2013, 3:23pm

Top sprinter Buffering has delighted trainer Robert Heathcote with a dominant jump-out win at Doomben on Tuesday.

Heathcote said Buffering won his heat by more than 10 lengths, recording a time that was more than four seconds faster than the next quickest for the session.

Buffering will head to Melbourne in a fortnight where he will resume in the Group One A J Moir Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on September 27.

Trainer Bruce Hill, meanwhile, has called a halt to the spring carnival campaign of Teronado.

Hill said Teronado had returned to his Gold Coast stables and will be spelled despite running an eye-catching fifth to Aussies Love Sport in the Ming Dynasty Quality (1400m) at Randwick last Saturday.

"I didn't want to push him beyond 1400 metres this prep and we'll look at the autumn in Melbourne or Sydney or even both when he comes back into work," Hill said.
