Mornington trainer Mark Riley is hoping the spring campaign of I'm Too Sexy can be saved with a strong showing at Moonee Valley on Saturday.
After a first-up win at Ballarat last November, I'm Too Sexy has battled injury and illness as she has finished at the rear of the field in her three races since.
After finishing last in a field of five at Moonee Valley on August 3 behind Gregers, I'm Too Sexy has spent five weeks overcoming a virus.
"She pulled up ordinary after the run at Moonee Valley and then caught a virus," Riley said.
"We were going to run her last week but I felt she needed a little bit more time because she wasn't 100 per cent correct."
I'm Too Sexy was among first acceptors in the Group One Thousand Guineas at Caulfield on October 16 but much depends on her performance on Saturday.
"Looking at the form it's not an overly strong race but then again she has to perform herself," said Riley.
"Hopefully, we have got her right and she presents herself well for the race."
Another option for I'm Too Sexy is the Listed Blue Sapphire Stakes, a feature race for three-year-olds run on Caulfield Guineas day over 1200m.
With in-form jockey Nash Rawiller aboard, Riley has high hopes for I'm Too Sexy who will carry 57.5kg on Saturday.
"I think she will run well - the only thing is, she is not well weighted at the set weights," he said.
"But she needs to have a run and we have to get her back on track if she is to go the Guineas."
