Newmarket Handicap winner Shamexpress will be back in action as soon as possible after returning from England at the weekend.
Trainer Danny O'Brien has Shamexpress lined up for the spring sprint double of the Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley and the Patinack Farm Classic at Flemington - each worth $1 million.
Shamexpress accompanied the first shipment of European spring carnival prospects on his flight home and will remain with them in quarantine at Werribee for the next two weeks.
"He looks like he's travelled really well," O'Brien said.
"I'd say he's put on condition from when he left here. He's grown a bit all round."
Shamexpress finished ninth in the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot and seventh in the July Cup at Newmarket in his two-run English campaign.
O'Brien said he was satisfied with both runs, blaming the combination of big weights and the undulating courses at both venues for the defeats.
His stable celebrated the return of Shamexpress with the victory of Keep De Rose ($3.80 fav) in the BMW Handicap (1800m) at Caulfield on Sunday.
