Gold Coast trainer Craig Tyrrell is confident he has kept Anna Lizzie fresh enough to extend her winning sequence at Doomben on Saturday.
Anna Lizzie made it four wins in a row when she resumed from an 18-week spell to win in a 1350m fillies and mares Class Six Plate on September 14.
Tyrrell said he would've preferred to step the mare up in distance for his second start this campaign but a lack of suitable options has forced him to settle for another 1350m assignment.
"I've kept her fresh enough," he said.
"She had a pretty easy week after she won and she's done nice work since."
Anna Lizzie is opposed to only five rivals on Saturday but Tyrrell isn't too concerned if the race develops into a sit and sprint.
"They'll probably jog along and sprint home but on the other hand the small field means she won't be as far back as she was the other day," he said.
"I can see her probably back in the last pair and more than likely on the outside. She's got that nice turn of foot which is a big asset."
Glen Colless rode Anna Lizzie when she was successful first up but he is serving a careless riding suspension with Michael Cahill filling in on Saturday.
"She won't lose anything with Michael riding her," Tyrrell said.
"He came and rode her work last Saturday and gave her a good report afterwards so it's good that he got a feel of her before race day."
Tyrell isn't setting the bar too high for Anna Lizzie this campaign but feels she will be at her best when she steps up to 1600m and further on a bigger track like Eagle Farm.
The daughter of Mearas is the $3.50 second favourite for the Mount Franklin Sparkling Handicap behind the $3.20 favourite Pickabee (Ryan Wiggins) who scored a narrow but impressive win at Eagle Farm on September 21.
