David Hayes will unveil three youngsters in Melbourne's first two-year-old race of the season at Flemington on Saturday.
Hayes, who has prepared a record five Blue Diamond winners, says it's exciting times when the new season two-year-olds start to step out.
"That's the future, isn't it," Hayes said.
"This year is my first year since I've moved into the farm (at Euroa) that I've been able to train them the old Lindsay Park way, because I've had the facilities to do it."
Hayes has spent the past few years building up his training base at Euroa in country Victoria after moving his operation from the famous property at Angaston in South Australia where the Hayes family dynasty began.
In Saturday's Listed Maribyrnong Trial Stakes (1000m), Hayes has Harcourt Street, Here Comes Theboom and Euchre Star entered.
"All three of mine have above average ability and I'd expect a good run from them all," he said.
"Long term, the best horse is Here Comes Theboom but he might find it a bit short. But he's a real run-on Blue Diamond-style of horse I think."
Trainer Peter Snowden, who won Melbourne's first two-year-old race of last season with Kuroshio, has early favourite Dragons Eye who won a recent Cranbourne trial on heavy ground.
Dragons Eye is a son of Darley stallion Von Costa De Hero, a horse Hayes trained to win the 2008 Group Two Sires' Produce Stakes before he finished the closest of seconds to Sebring in the Golden Slipper.
