Touched By Magic wins again for the Blueblood Thoroughbreds team at Echuca on the 8th October in the 1print.com.au Handicap over 1200m. It was a big effort from both horse and Jockey to win after Touched By Magic only jumped away fairly from barrier 1.
Darren Gauci showed plenty of strength to get her going early and she mustered up good speed to find the lead, doing plenty of work in doing so too.
The 5yo mare by Magic Albert continued to run on strong in the straight with The Gouch pushing her out all the way to the line where she fought off a couple of late charges to hold on and win by half a length.
Darren Gauci commented post-race that she has more wins in store for her but she would probably appreciate the tempo of a 1400m race even more so and recommended that a suitable 1400m race be found for her.
John and Chris Ledger and his team have done a great job with this mare since they received her earlier this year, having now won twice and placed twice out of the 6 starts with the Ledger team, taking her prize money to $24,045.
Congratulations to all the owners in Touched By Magic!!
