Weights for Saturday week's Caulfield Cup will be raised after confirmation Green Moon will not contest the race.
Last year's Melbourne Cup winner has topweight of 58kg in the Caulfield Cup but Racing Victoria stewards said on Thursday that the high-powered Lloyd Williams stable had reported Green Moon would not line up in the $2.5 million handicap.
Trainer Robert Hickmott plans to run the horse in the Cox Plate and Melbourne Cup.
Green Moon has his next start in Saturday's Group One Caulfield Stakes.
With a minimum topweight of 58kg needed in the Caulfield Cup, weights will be raised at least 1kg.
Next in line in Caulfield Cup weights is import Sea Moon with 57kg while Manighar has 56.5kg.
Weights will be raised another 0.5kg should Sea Moon, who is entered for Saturday's Herbert Power Stakes after running at Flemington last week, also misses the Caulfield Cup.
