Stewards will question ailing jockey Chris Munce about his unplaced ride on two-year-old Runway Angel at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
Munce stood down from riding after finishing fourth on Runway Angel in the Driver Recruitment Handicap (1000m).
He complained of seeing stars and feeling dizzy when he was weighing in and the course doctor was called.
Munce was then taken to the casualty room while officials contacted his wife Kathy to take him home.
Chief steward Daniel Aurisch said it appeared Munce had stopped riding Runway Angel in the final 50m.
"But obviously he was in no fit state to be questioned. He was seeing stars and feeling faint," Aurisch said.
"We have to ask but he probably can't even remember the final 100 metres."
Stewards will question Munce when he is fit enough to give evidence.
Munce has been booked to ride Dear Demi in the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday week but there is no indication his illness was anything more than a virus.
