Wakeful Stakes winner Kirramosa retains favouritism in a field of 10 for Thursday's VRC Oaks despite her outside draw.
The filly soared to the top of the market after Saturday's decisive win in the Wakeful (2000m) over former favourite May's Dream.
The John Sargent-trained filly is at $3.60 with the TAB ahead of Zanbagh at $4.60 with May's Dream at $4.80.
Zanbagh, a daughter of 2005 Australian Oaks winner Wild Iris and also trained by Guy Walter, has taken an unorthodox path to the Oaks (2500m).
Walter has taken the filly to Ballarat twice in recent weeks where she has recorded wins against older mares, her most recent by five lengths.
Zanbagh, to be ridden by Blake Shinn, will start from barrier two.
Fellow Sydney filly Quayside also bypassed the Wakeful with trainer David Payne giving her a final lead-up in a 1900m benchmark race at Rosehill last Saturday week which she won, defeating colts and geldings.
Notable defectors from the Oaks are Wordplay, who finished seventh in the Wakeful and Refer who was 11th of the 12 runners.
