Priscilla Schmidt suspended at Eagle Farm

Apprentice Priscilla Schmidt's win aboard Clever Hans at Eagle Farm on Saturday came at a cost when she was suspended for careless riding.

Schmidt pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge and was outed for five meetings for allowing Clever Hans to shift out near the 150m in the NRMA Insurance Broncos Handicap (1500m) causing Plumage to be checked.

Her suspension starts after the Sunshine Coast meeting on November 24 and ends at midnight on December 3.

Before handing down their penalty, stewards took into account Schmidt has not served a suspension since November, 2011.

Schmidt has been in sparkling form during the past week.

Saturday's double aboard Clever Hans and Pinch River added to a treble at the same track last Wednesday.
