Chris Symons reunites with Multilateral at Caulfield intent on keeping their perfect record intact.
Symons has ridden the Chris Waller-trained imported galloper in two Melbourne wins but hasn't been aboard the five-year-old in a race since April.
The gelding has had six starts since - five in NSW - and been successful in three of his past four outings with Jim Cassidy aboard including including a last-start Oaks day win at Flemington over 1800m.
Symons is looking forward to his reunion with Multilateral, the early favourite for Saturday's CFV Ambassadors Plate (2000m).
"He's obviously a horse with ability," Symons said.
"He gets back and gets home. I wouldn't imagine he would care if there is a bit of sting out of the track tomorrow and he's drawn to get the right run."
Symons is also looking to improve on an already impressive strike rate for Waller, having ridden three winners and a couple of placings for the premier Sydney trainer in Melbourne from seven rides.
Multilateral was one of six winners Waller prepared during the recent four-meeting Melbourne Cup carnival at Flemington.
Waller's carnival was highlighted by Group Ones to Zoustar, Red Tracer and Boban, while Multilateral formed part of an Oaks day treble for the trainer from as many starters.
