A bad week turned around in an afternoon for champion British jumps trainer Nicky Henderson with Grade One victories at two different venues.
Triolo D'Alene gave Henderson and jockey Barry Geraghty their second successive Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury an hour after My Tent Or Yours confirmed he was on track for the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham by winning the Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle.
Henderson had been worried about a few of his string after a heap of seconds and a notable defeat for the hotly-tipped West Wizard during the week.
"Four or five days ago I was in despair, but a couple of things go right and the world suddenly seems a brighter place," Henderson said.
"After Triolo D'Alene won the Topham at Aintree last season we started to think about the National, and we will think about it.
"Barry has been begging me all year to save him for the National and we were looking at Aintree next weekend. I didn't do what I was told, but the Hennessy is very special."
Ridden by Tony McCoy, My Tent Or Yours was promoted to 7-2 favourite for the Cheltenham championship in March after his three-length victory over John Quinn's grand mare Cockney Sparrow.
Henderson said the six-year-old would have his next start in the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton.
