The handicapper has forced Cry Havoc into city racing ahead of trainer Danny Williams' schedule.
But Williams could have reason to thank the architects of the NSW benchmark system of racing after the three-year-old runs at Randwick on Saturday.
"We could have given him another run in the country but the way the rating system is they raise very quickly in the ratings," Williams said.
"It's difficult to find races for him and when we do he usually has to carry 58 to 59 kilos."
Williams could have run Cry Havoc at Hawkesbury on Sunday but he is more than happy to give the horse his chance in the "HQ Of Insurance" Handicap (1150m).
"He's down on the minimum (weight) and the races seem a little bit below par on Saturdays for the three-year-olds at the moment," the Goulburn trainer said.
"So I'm looking forward to throwing him in there and seeing how he goes."
Cry Havoc is bred to stay as a son of Savabeel but each of his two wins have been at 1200m and Williams figures the gelding is best served in shorter races at this stage of his career.
He heads to Rosehill after winning two Goulburn races by a combined margin of almost 10 lengths and bookmakers expect him to measure up, making him the $4.40 second favourite behind Calming Influence ($2.40).
