Black Caviar might be safely carrying her first foal but her racetrack achievements continue to be recognised on the global stage.
Unbeaten in 25 starts in Australia and England, Black Caviar has been crowned the equal best racehorse in the world for 2013.
The accolade comes eight months after her retirement and follows confirmation she is in foal to leading sire Exceed And Excel.
Her managing owner Neil Werrett accepted the award during a International Federation of Horse Racing Authorities dinner in Hong Kong on Friday night.
Black Caviar achieved a rating of 130 to share the title with champion French filly Treve, winner of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
With international ratings compiled from January to October, Black Caviar's three Group One wins for the year were enough for the champion sprinter to make her a benchmark racehorse in world racing.
She returned for her final campaign to claim the Lightning Stakes, the William Reid Stakes and the TJ Smith Stakes.
Her ranking also confirmed her place as the world's best sprinter for the fourth consecutive year.
American Breeders' Cup Mile winner Wise Dan came in third in the 2013 ratings on 129.
