Frankie Dettori is nearing a return after testing his broken ankle in trackwork.
Dettori has been sidelined since October 2 when he suffered the injury in a pre-race fall at Nottingham.
The injury ruled him out of the winning ride aboard Treve in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp four days later.
Criquette Head-Maarek's star filly is owned by Sheikh Joaan Al Thani, for whom Dettori is retained rider.
The 42-year-old rode out at Newmarket on Tuesday morning and is now poised to make his comeback on the all-weather winter circuit his manager Peter Burrell said.
"He rode out in Newmarket (on Tuesday morning) and he appears to be progressing towards a comeback within the next 10 days," Burrell said.
"I believe the plan is for him to get a bulk of rides on the all-weather under his belt and he will then go where he is requested to go.
"His last scan last Thursday was all clear and he is top of the range."
