Frankie Dettori has made a triumphant return from injury with two winners from three rides at Lingfield.
Dettori returned sooner than expected from a broken ankle suffered in a pre-race accident at Nottingham on October 2 which ruled him out of the winning Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe ride on Treve.
Dettori admitted he was on edge before the meeting.
"It's silly but I was nervous this morning," Dettori said.
"As much as I would be riding in a big race. You're hoping your legs hold up, and your fitness.
"I'm probably back about a week or 10 days before I'd planned but some good horses are coming up now so I had to speed up my routine.
"I've got a mechanical horse and I've got no pain, it's just trying to get my strength back and there's nothing like race-riding."
Dettori said he was excited about the horses he will ride in the next few months for his boss Sheikh Joann al Thani.
"I never thought I'd be back in January but I've got a lot to look forward to," he said.
"I've got a great job. I'll be riding a bit in Dubai, Qatar and Saudi Arabia and then the French season starts earlier than England.
"The boss has around 70 in France and 70 in England, so I'll be spending time between the two countries and that will be fun.
"Treve is the highest-rated horse in training, but those kinds of memories are miles away. I just want to work on my fitness."
