Lloyd Williams to move racing operation

Tuesday 4 February 2014, 6:35pm

Prolific racehorse owner Lloyd Williams is set to move his racing operation to the Mornington Peninsula from Mt Macedon.

Williams said Hudson Conway Racing would relocate to a Mornington Peninsula property during the next 18 months.

Macedon Lodge will be marketed globally by William Inglis and Son.

"It was a difficult decision but the properties on the Peninsula give the opportunity to replicate the facilities at Macedon Lodge in a location that is central to the family's activities and will allow for future generations of the family to become more involved in the operation on a day-to-day basis," Williams said in a statement.

Williams has won the Melbourne Cup four times while Fawkner carried his colours to victory in last year's Caulfield Cup.
