BRISBANE February 7 AAP - Toowoomba trainer Tony Sears hopes a two-pronged attack at Eagle Farm will help end a frustrating run of metropolitan minor placings on Saturday.
Sears will saddle up The Ringmaster and Trail Boss in the Super Dry Open (1000m), as he attempts to knock Rocky King off his throne as the king of short-course racing in Brisbane
It has been a good season for Sears with 24 winners at all tracks but he's had a string of minor placings at city meetings.
Royal Shout, The Ringmaster, I Am Boss, Bahsa, Trail Boss, and Kesthin have all run minor placings in metropolitan races since January 1.
Sears said both Trail Boss and The Ringmaster had been racing well but needed some luck on Saturday in a very competitive race.
Jockey Tim Bell will stick with The Ringmaster while apprentice Luke Tarrant makes his return to city racing with several rides including Trail Boss.
Top weight Adebisi is back in Brisbane racing after failing in the Canterbury Classic in Sydney at his last start.
Trainer Desleigh Forster ordered Adebisi, who is likely to be ridden with a sit, to spend a week at the rural Washpool Lodge complex to rejuvenate him after the Sydney run.
Rocky King, who will be trying to win his 11th race at 1000m, has a new jockey with Eddie Wilkinson replacing Damian Browne.
Browne is off to Melbourne for the day to ride star two-year-old Earthquake in a Blue Diamond Prelude.
