Robbie Laing will accept with Victoria Derby winner Polanski in Saturday's CS Hayes Stakes after the colt's race return was delayed last week because of a skin infection.
Polanski was a race-morning scratching from Saturday's Group Two Autumn Stakes at Caulfield.
The Group One winner is among 15 nominations for the Group Three CS Hayes Stakes (1400m) with Laing looking to keep the colt's Australian Guineas campaign on track.
"I will accept with him. He worked nicely this morning," Laing said.
"The skin infection he had has abated but the only problem was a little bit of the treatment has actually burnt his skin in a couple of little places.
"So he's still a little bit touchy, but it's only Tuesday."
Laing likened condition to sun burn.
"It's a little bit uncomfortable today but should be right in a day or so," he said.
Polanski is the highest-rated horse in the CS Hayes Stakes nominations.
The race is set to provide another pointer towards the Group One Australian Guineas (1600m) on March 1 with four of the top seven in Guineas betting nominated.
