Champion jockey Chris Munce wasn't joking when he told owner Diane Crunkhorn she had nothing to worry about with her first raceday as an owner.
She's Miss Devine, backed from $5 into $3.60, proved Munce was right when she scored by seven lengths in the Secutor Securities Handicap (1000m) at Eagle Farm.
"This is the first horse I have raced and was a nervous wreck before the race, Mrs Crunkhorn said.
Munce was full of praise for She's Miss Devine who is by top Queensland sire Show A Heart.
"She is certainly smart and I knew they would have trouble beating her today," Munce said.
Munce bounced back into the winners' circle after missing last Saturday's meeting with a stomach upset.
Winning trainer Kelso Wood plans to step She's Miss Devine, who ran fast time, up to Saturday class and then possibly the winter carnival.
Meanwhile, smart gelding Time To Plunder will be set for the Listed Falvelon Quality (1200m) on Saturday week after his win.
Trainer Liam Birchley said Time to Plunder would be suited in the Falvelon because of the fast pace likely but would be on the fringe of getting a start.
Time To Plunder ($4.40) won the Gallopers Sports Club Handicap (1000m) and emphasised the ability of She's Miss Devine.
"It is a bit embarrassing when you run slower time than the two-year-old but he is pretty honest and it shows how good she (She's Miss Devine) is," said Birchley.
