Her opposition could include six horses paid up for the Golden Slipper but I Am Snippety will be out to confirm less-fashionable plans at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

The fleet-footed filly resumes from a short break in the Australian Turf Club Handicap (1000m) with her trainer Neil Osborne more interested in winning Canberra's signature event instead of the world's richest horse race for two-year-olds.

"There a couple of options there but the Black Opal is the race we'd like to win," Osborne said.

"Her mother (Snippety Day) just got run down in it. She ran fourth and she was in front with about 50 metres to go."

I Am Snippety returns to city competition in what shapes as the strongest Sydney midweek two-year-old race so far in 2013-2014.

And while she boasts a minor Blue Diamond form reference through Chivalry from a Moonee Valley race at the end of last year, I Am Snippety will have to go to another level on a Wagga Wagga win last month.

Golden Slipper entries among Wednesday's acceptors are Headwater Country, Liberation, Wandjina, Aerobar, and Kokomo and Volley Of Fire, the first and second reserves respectively.

Of the Slipper hopefuls, Headwater Country and Wandjina command most interest on exposed form.

Queensland youngster Headwater Country has been gelded since he was backed off the map before finishing in the minor placing in a Randwick race in November.

The winner of the race, Earthquake, will go around as one of the Blue Diamond favourites on Saturday.

Wandjina's credentials are just as promising, given his starting-price profile in the Breeders' Plate.

The colt ran the $2.60 favourite before finishing unplaced behind Law, Mohave and Bold Circle but he has impressed barrier trial watchers with a seven-length win at Randwick.

I Am Snippety also returns with the benefit of a barrier trial win, going to the line under a tight hold for her Warwick Farm jockey Winona Costin at Goulburn last week.
