Oakleigh Plate placegetter Knoydart will get another crack at a Group One at his next start in the Newmarket Handicap.
Sheikh Mohammed's Darley operation has paid the $55,000 late entry for Saturday week's Newmarket Handicap (1200m) at Flemington.
The Peter Snowden-trained Knoydart has been in a rich vein of form this preparation since being gelded, winning his first three starts before powering home from near the tail of the field for third in Saturday's Group One Oakleigh Plate (1100m) at Caulfield.
The four-year-old's performance in the Oakleigh Plate convinced Snowden he deserved his chance in the Newmarket.
Weights for the Newmarket will be released on Tuesday with in-form Moment Of Change expected to be topweight.
Moment Of Change was narrowly beaten in last year's Newmarket by Shamexpress and heads to this year's race in top form having won the CF Orr Stakes and Futurity Stakes at his past two starts.
