Star Queensland two-year-old She's Miss Devine has suffered a leg injury and won't race again this season.
She's Miss Devine was widely rated Brisbane's best juvenile prospect after winning by seven lengths on debut at Eagle Farm on February 12.
The filly pulled up from trackwork earlier this week with swelling to a foreleg and while scans have cleared her of serious injury she will be sidelined for at least six months.
"It was not as bad as we feared," trainer Kelso Wood said.
"It is mostly an immaturity thing with bruising around the bone and means six months in the paddock."
She's Miss Devine will miss the Sydney autumn, Brisbane winter and Melbourne spring carnivals but could be back for next year's Magic Millions race day.
Wood reported his other smart juvenile Elitist was back in work and had bloomed during her spell.
Elitist was one of the early favourites for this year's Magic Millions Classic but failed to qualify.
