In-form jockey Damian Browne will front Queensland stewards on Tuesday over tactics he used in a race at Eagle Farm.
Browne, who has won four Group One races this season including the Blue Diamond Stakes on Earthquake, has several key rides over the upcoming Sydney carnival.
Among them is triple Group One winner Buffering and stakes winner Fire Up Fifi who is scheduled to begin her campaign in Saturday's Wiggle Quality at Warwick Farm.
Stewards questioned Browne after Kingtantes finished third in a race last Wednesday, saying there was concern over his tactics from the 400m to the 200m of the 1200m race.
Browne said he had ridden to trainer Robert Heathcote's instructions to get cover back in the field.
The inquiry was adjourned because Heathcote was interstate.
Buffering is scheduled to have a jump-out on Thursday morning and head to Sydney for the Challenge Stakes on Saturday week at Randwick.
