Chris Waller has called on the handicapper not to crucify Catkins' Coolmore Classic chances after she dominated her Wiggle Stakes rivals at Warwick Farm.
The consistent mare posted her 10th win from 19 starts on Saturday, confirming plans to chase her first Group One win in two weeks.
Waller's only concern is the mare be given a fair weight.
"In the old days they'd give non-Group One winners a bit of help and it looks like they've done that with the Doncaster. Hopefully it will be the case again in the Coolmore," Waller said.
"The best horses deserve to win it, I hope she is given her chance."
Heavily backed from $1.90 to start a $1.65 favourite, Catkins stalked the speed for Hugh Bowman before pouncing to score by two lengths.
Sharnee Rose ($14) ran on from the back for second with Dear Demi ($31) another neck away in a strong return.
Both placegetters will also press on to the Coolmore Classic.
Dear Demi's trainer Clarry Conners said the Caulfield Cup placegetter ran as expected.
"That's what she does first-up, she always run third," Conners said.
"She will go to the Coolmore next and second-up is when she wins."
