Brisbane premiership-leading trainer Tony Gollan has his eyes in a two-state double with established star Temple Of Boom and the enigmatic Rocket To Glory.

Gollan will be at Randwick on Saturday with Group One winner Temple Of Boom who runs in the Challenge Stakes but will have an eye on the television for the running of the $100,000 Gold Coast Stakes (1200m).

Rocket To Glory made a winning return to racing at Eagle Farm over 1000m two weeks ago.

However, some of the gloss was taken off the victory when the five-year-old wanted to hang off the track.

Gollan said he had no such worries about Rocket to Glory in Saturday's race.

"He doesn't want to hang anywhere else but Eagle Farm. Our stables are at the 400-metre mark and maybe he wants to go home but really I can't explain why," Gollan said.

"Rocket To Glory has drawn an inside alley on Saturday and I think he will find the fence and be hard to run down."

Gollan said the key to Rocket To Glory was to keep the horse happy and he had no doubts he could get out to distances of 1400m.

"He won over 1400 metres as a two-year-old and I am keen to try him around that trip this winter," he said.

Meanwhile, rejuvenated galloper Easy Running returns to the scene of one of his best runs in the Gold Coast Stakes.

Easy Running ran second in the $1 million Gold Coast Guineas (1400m) as a three-year-old and at his only other Gold Coast start was a restricted-class winner.

Trainer Desleigh Forster plans to give Easy Running one more start after the Gold Coast race and then set him for the Listed $150,000 Weetwood Handicap (1300m) on April 12.

Easy Running lost form last year but has been racing and trialling with new zest after Forster changed his training.
