A Time For Julia pleases Moody stable

Tuesday 18 March 2014, 4:42pm

In-form mare A Time For Julia has done nothing to discourage her stable to stray from Coolmore Classic plans.

A Time For Julia and her Peter Moody-trained stablemate Floria are entered for the Group One race for fillies and mares.

Floria is also nominated for the Sunline Stakes at Moonee Valley.

Moody will be chasing Sydney Group One wins in successive weeks after Dissident beat off El Roca to win Saturday's Randwick Guineas.

The trainer's Sydney representative Claire Cunningham says A Time For Julia has taken no harm from her Group Three victory on Randwick Guineas day.

"So far she's very bright and I had my hands full with her on the pony yesterday," Cunningham said.

"She's a tough mare so that's why I suppose Peter thought the back-up wouldn't be a problem."

Unless her attitude changes for the worst before acceptance time, A Time For Julia will spearhead Moody's Coolmore bid.

A Group Three winner in New Zealand, Floria has hardly missed a beat since being transferred from Stephen McKee to Moody during last year's Sydney autumn carnival.

"Since she has come to Australia she just keeps progressing," Cunningham said.

Floria rounded out her spring campaign with a Summoned Stakes win and resumed with a Frances Tressady Stakes placing at Flemington.
