It's the most expensive shoe you'd never get to wear.
And you can't even take it home.
But racing officials are hoping western Sydney shoppers will still seize the opportunity to get up close and personal with the coveted Golden Slipper.
The Slipper will be on public display at Parramatta Westfield on Thursday, just weeks before the best young racehorses battle it out in the world's richest race for two-year-olds at nearby Rosehill.
First past the post gets $2 million cash plus the gold and diamond encrusted shoe.
Shoppers will be able to hold the Slipper, as well as score a special ticket discount to the showcase meeting on April 5.
"It is a race embraced by the whole of Sydney and Australia, staged in such a vibrant and important part of our great city," Australian Turf Club chief executive Darren Pearce said.
Parramatta Eels star Jarryd Hayne and Lord Mayor John Chedid will also pay their respects to the prized pump.
*The Golden Slipper will be on display at Parramatta Westfield between 5.30pm and 8.30pm on March 20.
