Text'n Hurley ends campaign with Group win

Friday 21 March 2014, 10:02pm

Trainer Colin Little will turn his attention to the spring with Text'n Hurley after the mare ended her autumn campaign with a Group Two win at Moonee Valley on Friday night.

Text'n Hurley's victory in the Sunline Stakes (1600m) brought up a third win on the night for jockey Craig Williams which included another stakes success on Marianne in the Listed Alexandra Stakes.

Little said Text'n Hurley had done a great job this campaign, coming back in distance from a win over 2040m two starts earlier to score a first Group race victory at 1600m.

"This mare is really a stayer," Little said.

"She'll go a mile-and-a-half (2400m) on her ear.

"She stood up tonight and there's got to be a race somewhere in the spring for her."

Text'n Hurley ($4.60) defeated Bippo No Bungus by 2-1/2 lengths with You're So Good another three quarters of a length away third.

Earlier, Group One winner Platelet resumed with victory in the heat of the 55 Second Challenge (955m).

Platelet is being aimed at the Group One Sportingbet Classic and Group One Goodwood in Adelaide, the two features she won last year.
