Apprentice Jamie Kah moved closer to making a big decision about her career after she rode Tango's Daughter to victory at Sandown on Saturday.

Tango's Daughter's win in the Hilton Manufacturing Handicap left Kah within four of outriding her claim but the 18-year-old says she must decide where she wants to continue her career.

Rules differ between Victoria and South Australia and that means Kah will have the choice of becoming a senior rider in Adelaide or continuing her three-month loan with Caulfield trainer Mick Price.

"Once I lose my claim, I don't know what I am going to do," Kah said.

"In Adelaide, once we outride it, we can finish (an apprenticeship)."

Tango's Daughter, sent out the $2.50 favourite, continued a trend favouring on-pace runners when she raced handy to the speed before outsprinting her opposition.

The daughter of Redoute's Choice carried the same colours as her brilliant stablemate Lankan Rupee to continue a winning run for owners Teeley Assets.

Price's representative Mick Nolan said Tango's Daughter had overcome niggling problems that affected her spring form.

The well-supported Politeness ($4.60) finished strongly from the back for second ahead of the $61 outsider Native Land.

Politeness's jockey Josh Cartwright said barrier 13 forced him to ride the filly further back than he wanted.
