Blue Diamond Stakes runner-up Jabali has been confirmed as a Golden Slipper starter after a week of uncertainty.
Trainer Mick Price was initially disappointed with his seventh in last Saturday's Todman Stakes won by Ghibellines and named Cornrow as his only definite runner.
But after a few days consideration and a flying visit to Sydney to insepct the colt on Friday, the Melbourne trainer said Jabali was back in the mix with Glen Boss to ride him in the $3.5 million race on Saturday week.
"I flew to Sydney today to inspect Jabali. The colt looks great & will take his place in the Golden Slipper with @boss_glen aboard," Price tweeted.
Eliza Park International bought a majority share in Jabali before he ran in the Todman in which stablemate Cornrow finished third.
The final chances to cement automatic berths in the Slipper come on Saturday at Rosehill in the Magic Night Stakes for fillies and the Pago Pago for colts and geldings.
The Peter Snowden-trained Blue Diamond winner Earthquake, who stretched her unbeaten record to four from four in last week's Reisling Stakes, is the dominant favourite for the Slipper which has a maximum field of 16.
The final field will be declared on Tuesday morning ahead of the all-important barrier draw.
