Consistent BlueBlood Thoroughbreds galloper Justiceforall returns to Caulfield tomorrow for another crack at stakes level in the Listed Eastern Bridge Galilee Series Final (2400m). He is currently $40 fixed with the TAB but is a much better chance than that price suggests.
He is one of only 2 horses in the field of 14 that have proven form over 2400m, running 3rd in the Adrian Ledger Memorial Hcp (2400m) last start at Albury against the older horses. Tomorrow he is back to his own age group under handicap conditions and he comes in very nicely at the weights, having to carry only 54.5kg.
He has drawn wide in barrier 11 but it may play into his advantage as he usually settles off the pace. The track is also currently rated as heavy and with plenty of rain around it might prove more beneficial to sit off the fence.
The handsome son of Not A Single Doubt has had 9 starts for 1 win and 6 placing’s to date and has never been far off the mark, with his worst result being an 8th behind Vilanova at Group 2 level, beaten only 4.2L.
Although it is not typical of Not A Single Doubt to throw a staying type, Justiceforall is out of a Nassipour mare which has proven to be a great source of stayers. Nassipour was the sire of greats such as Let’s Elope and Tie The Knot and was the leading sire in 1992 after Let’s Elope became the first mare in more than 50 years to win the Caulfield Cup – Melbourne Cup double.
Justiceforall showed in his last start that he can stay all day and who knows, he may be a potential Cups horse in the making. Tomorrow will be one of his biggest tests to date and we wish all the connections the best of success.
