Premier jockey Michael Cahill maintained an amazing strike rate at the Beaudesert racetrack with a winning treble on Wednesday.
As Queensland's top metropolitan jockey, Cahill rarely rides at Beaudesert, 50km south of Brisbane.
However, Beaudesert hosted the major TAB meeting in Queensland on Wednesday because of a decision to rest Eagle Farm and Doomben from mid-week meetings until the winter carnival started.
Cahill took three rides at the meeting and won on all three - Rock Me Fast ($1.60), Glorious Red ($3.80) and Tale of The Diva ($2.90).
At his only other meeting at Beaudesert this season Cahill rode two winners from three rides.
Cahill has now ridden 90 winners on all tracks for the season.
He rode Rock Me Fast and Glorious Red for trainer Kelly Schweida who has trained three winners from just seven runners at Beaudesert this season.
"Rock Me Fast has been unlucky lately and will be even better when ridden back in the field," Schweida said.
"Glorious Red is handy and we will look for a city race now."
Tale of the Diva is trained by Desleigh Forster for long-time owner Judy Wanless.
